CORTISONE
. It is found predominantly in mineralocorticoid target
tissues

SWEAT GLANDS
; and the
PLACENTA
. Absence of the enzyme leads to a fatal form of childhood
hypertension
termed, APPARENT MINERALOCORTICOID EXCESS
SYNDROME.
